President’s Message
As we leave 2025 in the rearview mirror and look ahead to 2026, I want to take a moment to share an update on what has been happening with the Eagle Lake Property Owners, Inc. (ELPOI) and outline our plans for the year ahead.
ELPOI has been active on many fronts, with a strong focus on protecting Eagle Lake while also fostering a stronger sense of community among our members.
As we move into the new year, ELPOI remains focused on protecting Eagle Lake while continuing to enhance the member experience.
Your participation matters, together, we can ensure Eagle Lake remains healthy, beautiful, and enjoyable for generations to come.

In the News . . .
The Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP), which serves as the Adirondack Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management, held its annual partner meeting on December 4, 2025. The gathering brought together organizations from across the Adirondacks to review progress, share challenges and goals for invasive species control.
This year, ELPOI was honored with a special award recognizing our work to control Eurasian Watermilfoil.
Congratulations and thanks to all who participated in the 2025 Loon Friendly Lake program; to all who observed, enjoyed, protected, and helped with clean-up efforts - congratulations on a job well done.
2025 is the second consecutive year that Eagle Lake has earned this certification!
The Milfoil Project ⬥ Phase Two
The Eagle Lake Milfoil Project, Phase Two, is in its planning stages. ELPOI’s intention is to treat the Southwest side of the lake basin from the causeway to the boat launch. This will complete the initial treatment with ProcellaCOR EC.
If finances allow, we will do a plant survey of the northeast side of the lake to monitor the effects of our treatment in 2025.
The approximate cost of this project for 2026 is $40,000. We are waiting to hear if we receive a DEC grant, with declarations occurring in March. If we don’t receive funding, we will establish another Capital Campaign, as well as a development program for additional business memberships.
