What's Happening on Eagle Lake?
Annual Meeting ☀️ July 11, 2026
☕ New Coffee Social Hour prior to the Annual Business Meeting
June 24 marks another important milestone for Eagle Lake, Eagle Lake Property Owners Inc. (ELPOI), our property owners, and everyone who treasures this special lake.
ELPOI has completed treatment of the southwest side of Eagle Lake with ProcellaCOR EC, concluding the herbicidal treatment of the entire lake. We are hopeful that this year’s treatment will produce results similar to last year’s successful efforts.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Ready-Scout LLC for its professional work and continued partnership. The progress made at Eagle Lake has been recognized by Adirondack organizations, and we are proud that the commitment and persistence of our lake community continue to make a difference.
Our work, however, must continue. Milfoil can return, and ongoing monitoring and treatment are essential to protecting Eagle Lake’s natural ecological balance, water quality, and recreational enjoyment.
This year’s treatment cost is approximately $37,000. Through the Wine and Cheese Fundraiser, ELPOI has already raised $11,675 toward our seasonal fundraising goal of $30,000.
ELPOI has sufficient funds to pay for this year’s treatment by combining resources from the General Fund and the Invasive Fund. However, our goal is to rely primarily on the Invasive Fund so that ELPOI can continue to protect Eagle Lake without reducing resources needed for other important lake and community priorities.
We are grateful for the many comments about Eagle Lake’s beauty, clean water, and the enjoyment of a lake free from milfoil. Maintaining those qualities requires the support of our entire community.

The Eagle Lake Property Owners, Inc. (ELPOI) is proud to announce that Susan Clark has been selected to receive the Lake Steward Award from the New York State Federation of Lake Associations.
The Lake Steward Award is presented annually to a lake association volunteer who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to their lake association and community. The award recognizes exceptional dedication to protecting lake health, supporting association initiatives, and fostering a strong sense of community among lake residents.
Susan’s leadership and tireless volunteer efforts have had a tremendous impact on Eagle Lake and ELPOI. She played a key role in securing approvals and financing for last year’s Eurasian Watermilfoil treatment project and is currently leading efforts to obtain permits for treatment of the remaining areas of the lake this year.
In addition to her environmental stewardship work, Susan has served as ELPOI Board Treasurer and as an active member of the Board, contributing countless hours to the organization and helping guide many important initiatives.
Susan has also helped strengthen the Eagle Lake community through her efforts to bring people together. She initiated popular boat float gatherings and has consistently encouraged social events and community connections among lake residents.
Susan’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to both protecting Eagle Lake and strengthening the sense of community around the lake truly embody the spirit of the Lake Steward Award.

Susan Clark Presents at NYSFOLA Conference
Susan Clark was selected to present at the Annual NYSFOLA Conference on May 8-9 at the Fort William Henry in Lake George. Susan shared Eagle Lake’s milfoil efforts and successes with conference attendees. By sharing the Eagle Lake story with other lake associations, Susan has helped others that are starting on this journey to make the process a little less arduous for them.
